E. Meadow, NY: The LIGBT visited AMF E. Meadow and ran its fourth sport shot series event of Season 16. Charlie Rembert, Floral Park, NY won his 3rd LIGBT title by defeating senior bowler William Tudy, Brooklyn, NY 227-215. Charlie earned $1,000 while William earned $600 for second place. Finishing in third place was Kyle Lathen, Bronx, NY shooting a 211 and earning $400. Rounding out the top 4 was 4th place finisher Eddie Cintron, Laurelton, NY with a 198 worth $300.

The final shootout was a real challenge on the Autobahn pattern. There were 15 open frames out of the 40 bowled. Charlie jumped to the early lead with William staying close. When Eddie doubled in the 7th & 8th frames, and Charlie opened twice, Ed jumped from 4th to 1st. But Charlie came back with a double in the final 2 frames to grab back the lead and earn the title. William bowled great but struck only once. Kyle had to wait until his final frame to get his first strike.

The LIGBT 2-squad sport shot tournament drew an unbelievable crowd of 150 entries, paid out $7,080 in prize money, and had 40 bowlers go to the cashing window. The side action awarded an additional $5,830 bringing the total event payout to $12,910.

Scores to cash on the 42 foot “Autobahn” pattern were 678 at 1pm and 684 at 3pm. The wildcard winner, which is the highest 6-game series by a non-finalist, was 2nd place finisher William Tudy with a 1,369. High series of the day was shot by Donald Eubanks with a 774 in the 2nd squad.

LIGBT’s next tournament is a 2-day House Shot Spectacular at Strike 10 Deer Park Friday, February 16 and Sunday, February 18th. To view the results of the AMF E. Meadow event please visit www.ligbtour.com. The LIGBT is sponsored by Turbo, WON Network and Randi B. Siegle Attorney at Law.
