JASON NICHOLAS WINS

SPORT SHOT #8

Congratulations to Jason Nicholas for winning your 4^th LIGBT title (first one in 10 years!) on Sunday at AMF E. Meadow. Jason won the $1,000 top prize by defeating Steve Bova 249-235 in a nail-biting shootout. While Steve earned $600 for 2nd, finishing in 3^rd, and earning $450, was Devon Johnson with a 230. Rounding out the top 5 was 4^th place finisher JoJo Alcantara with a 214 earning $400, and 5^th place finisher Rico Lirio with a 207 earning $300.

The "Boardwalk" pattern produced a challenging scoring environment with cashing scores of 638 at noon and 640 at 2pm. The wildcard winner was Samantha Galardi with a 1,294 six-game series. High series of the tournament was shot by Jay Cureton with a 729 series in the noon squad. Three women and 5 super seniors advanced to the finals.

Sport Shot Series #8 attracted a nice turnout of 136 entries and paid out a $6,645 prize fund to 36 cashers. With the side-action total payout was $11,520. The LIGBT welcomed 3 new members at AMF E.
