$2,000 LIGBT TITLE!

 

Congratulations to 19-year-old Gavin Cremers for winning your first LIGBT title on Sunday at AMF Wantagh. Gavin defeated 77-year-old Jose Ferreira 217-200 in the final shootout. Gavin earned $2,000 while Jose won $1,000. Finishing in 3^rd was Heather Lam with a 183 worth $750. Rounding out the top 5 was 4^th place finisher Kenny Wright with a 180 worth $600 and 5^th went to13-year-old Raiden Yu with a 162 earning a $500 SMART scholarship.

 

The LIGBT Sport Shot Bonus tournament was competed on the "Abbey Road" pattern. Scoring was challenging with cashing at 644 & 657. High series of the tournament was shot by Kenny Wright with a 749. The wildcard winner was Darcy Monroe with a 6-game total of 1,335. Heather Lam 672 (woman) and Chris Thomas 674 (SS) were added to the finals to meet the women and super senior guarantees.

 

The final LIGBT sport shot tournament of Season 18 was a record breaker attracting 148 entries and generating a $9,830 prize fund shared by 42 cashers. The side action paid an additional $6,085, bringing the day's total payout to $15,915. Brunswick ball winners were Darrell Romero and Jaime Lam Jr.

 

Congratulations to all of the cashers and thanks to everyone that participated on Sunday at AMF Wantagh. LIGBT's next event is this coming Sunday, August 23 at AMF Garden City. This event is a house shot handicap doubles tournament featuring a $2,000 top prize and $80 entry fee.
