Babylon, NY: The LIGBT ran its 3rd sport shot series event of Season 17 at AMF Babylon and there couldn’t have been a more exciting finish. Finishing in 3rd, with a 222, was Guy Sereno, Massapequa, NY earning $400. Rounding out the top 4 was Andrew Mienkiewicz, Dix Hills, NY with a 173 worth $300.
The final shootout was a tight contest for all ten frames. Angel and Pierce were close early in the match but when Pierce opened in the 7th frame Angel took a 13-pin lead. But after Pierce’s open in frame 7, he struck out to capture the title even though Angel doubled in the 9th and 10th frames. Guy was close throughout the match, but after starting with a 4 timer, he couldn’t string together late strikes and settled for 3rd place. Andrew, who was looking for his 10th LIGBT title, couldn’t get comfortable with the changing pattern and finished 4th.
