The LIGBT’s next event will be Sunday, March 22nd at AMF Sheridan. It is necessary to adjust our regular format due to the fact there will only be 32 lanes available and the tournament must end by 6pm due to a full house of Sunday night leagues. AMF Sheridan is a great bowling center at a great location (just off all of the major highways.) Some of the format changes, if liked by the members, may be continued at future LIGBT events.
AMF Sheridan Formats
Scratch Division
- Maximum of 66* bowlers (no more than 3 bowlers to a lane)
- 4 games of qualifying- separate qualifying for Under and Senior Division
- 1 in 6 advance per division to the finals (a maximum of 10 bowlers)
- 1 in 4 will cash for $100
- If there is a full field (66) 11th place will earn $200 but not advance to the finals
- All finalists will be guaranteed to earn double their money ($200)
- Top Under & Senior guaranteed in final shootout (minimum $400 w/full field)
- Finals; 1 game matches until 2 are left plus the 2 division squad leaders
- Final 4 will bowl a 1 game match on the same lanes to determine top 4 places
- Maximum # of rounds in the finals is 3
- All matches in the finals will be based on qualifying series
205 & under Division
- Maximum of 50* bowlers (no more than 5 bowlers to a lane)
- 3 games of qualifying with handicap and bonus pins
- 1 in 6 will advance to the finals and guaranteed $100 (double your money!)
- Top bowler seeded in final shootout match
- 1 in 4 will cash for $50
- Finals; 1 game matches (with handicap/no bonus pins) until 2 or 3 bowlers are left
- Final match will be a 1 game shootout on the same pair of lanes with either 3 or 4 bowlers. High game with handicap will determine top 3 or 4 spots.
- All final matches will be based on qualifying series (with handicap & bonus pins)
- Maximum # of rounds in the finals is 3
*If a division does not use their allotted lanes the max of the other division can increase.
