Season 7 - Stats Archive
LIGBT SEASON 7 FINAL YEAR-END SUMMARY
The LIGBT Season 7 was our most successful year ever. Over 4,500 entries participated in 30 events averaging more than 150 entries per tournament (up 19% from last year!) There were 3 repeat champions: Joe Kingston, Rob Foerster, and Rob Longiaru. Maniram Basdeo finished twice three times but never won a title. Total prize money paid out was $168,420 and $331,215 when you include brackets and Brunswick balls.
Rob Longiaru won the prize money title earning $4,765 in only 10 events. In second, only $115 behind was Rob Foerster with $4,650 earned in 20 events. A total of 55 different bowlers cashed for at least $1,000 and 104 earned a minimum of $500. A total of 253 different bowlers cashed this season which is 54% of the active membership.
Brackets have become a significant part of LIGBT events. Over $160,000 in bracket winnings was paid out in Season 7. The leading money winner (earnings plus bracket winnings) was Rob Foerster with $10,662.50. Bobby Wunsch had the second most total earnings with $10,440.00. Amazingly, more than 100 bowlers cashed in excess of $1,000 when you include both prize fund and bracket earnings.
The most consistent casher throughout Season 7 was Wesley Marquez who cashed in 17 out of 28 events (61%). Joe Hatchett cashed in 12 out of 20 events for a 60% cashing ratio. The only other bowler cashing in at least 12 events was Mike Simeone (12 out of 26) for a 46% ratio. 157 different bowlers cashed in multiple events.
With most LIGBT events competed on a challenge shot the averages, as expected, are much lower than your typical league. No member with at least 70 games is averaging over 200. Julio Arnold has the highest LIGBT average with a 197 for 101 games. Second in average was Scott Kampf with a 195 for 92 games. There are only 5 bowlers averaging higher than 190 and only 12 bowlers averaging more than 180!
