DON OWEN WINS LIGBT

SENIOR SCRATCH TITLE

Congratulations to Don Owen for winning your first LIGBT title at your first LIGBT event! Don won the Senior Scratch Title, and it’s $400 top prize, by defeating Tim Regan 265-245 in the final shootout. While Tim earned $200 for 2^nd, finishing in 3^rd with a 244 was Joe Scianna, the only right-handed bowler in the shootout. Rounding out the top 4 was Pete Sarne with a 215 worth $150.

The AMF Babylon hosted event drew a field of 18 bowlers, advanced 6 to the finals and paid out $1,125. Scoring on the house shot was decent as it took a 903 to advance from the 50-63 age division and 872 from the 64 and older division.

Congratulations to all of the cashers and thanks to everyone competing on Saturday at AMF Babylon. LIGBT’s next tournament is a Handicap Doubles event at AMF Garden City this coming Saturday, November 8^th (1pm start.) All bowlers are welcomed!
