WIN THEIR FIRST TITLES AT BABYLON

Winning your first LIGBT tournament is something you always cherish. On Sunday at AMF Babylon the LIGBT crowned 2 brand new champions. The handicap champion was Kareem Byrd Jr. who earned the $1,000 top prize by defeating Sal Palazzola ($550) 260-234. The scratch champion was Mithrandir Loutan who shot a perfect game in the scratch final shootout to earn the $600 (scholarship) top prize. Mith defeated 2nd place finisher Michael Mirabile ($300) 300-221.

Our first House Shot Series event of Season 17 was a success as 98 bowlers packed the lanes with 25 competitors going to the cashing window. The prize funds paid out $5,980 while the side action added another $3,175. Total payout for the day was $9,155. Scores to cash were 950 in the 49 & under handicap division, 914 in the 50+ handicap division and 911 in the scratch division.

Congratulations to all of the cashers and thanks to everyone that competed at AMF Babylon. The LIGBT welcomed 8 new members and saw the return of many familiar faces. We are off next weekend and return on Sunday, November 17th (noon & 2pm) to AMF Garden City for Sport Shot Series #2. The lane pattern will be “Broadway.”
