AIMEE MATIAS WINS

SPORT SHOT #4

Congratulations to Aimee Matias for winning your first LIGBT title on Sunday at AMF Garden City. Amy earned the $1,000 top prize by defeating 4-time champion Darcy Monroe 232-227 in the final shootout. While Darcy earned $500 for 2nd, finishing in 3^rd was the 2pm squad leader Nas Freeman with a 214 worth $300. Rounding out the top 4 was Curtis Hetmeyer with a 165 worth $250.

As promised scoring on the Turnpike pattern was low as it took just 622 to cash at noon and 650 at 2pm. High series of the day was shot by Nas Freeman with an incredible 763. The wildcard winner was Darcy Monroe with a 1,293. There were only two 700 series all day.

Despite the inclement weather, Sunday's sport shot event attracted a nice field of 75 bowlers and paid out a $3,700 prize fund to 19 cashers. LIGBT's next event is a Handicap Doubles Tournament this Sunday, January 25^th at AMF Garden City. Congratulations to all of the cashers and thanks to everyone that competed on Sunday.
