LIGBT SEASON 18

END-OF YEAR ROUNDUP 

LIGBT Season 18 is now complete, and it was a record-breaking year for our club. We are going to take a 2-week break to give everyone a chance to start their leagues and get back into their fall schedules (school, football, etc.) Our next tournament is a $65 3-game sweeper at Lucky Strike Mineola on Sunday, September 27^th at 10am. Click here if you want to pre-register.
 

The 12 event Sport Shot Series was a success with a total of 1,292 entries competing for $68,625 in prize money. There were no repeat champions-12 different winners each earning at least $1,000! High sport shot average (minimum 16 games) was Jake Lau and Joe Scianna with 202. The only other bowler to average 200 was Steve Chiarella. Maniram Basdeo had the highest cashing ratio with 83% cashing in 10 out of 12 sport shot events he bowled. Gavin Cremers bowled in just 2 sport shot events and was the leading money winner with $2,600 in earnings. A total of 21 bowlers earned a $1,000 or more in the Sport Shot Series.
 

The LIGBT ran 8 Doubles events this season and welcomed 905 teams (113 teams per event!) The doubles tournaments paid out a total of $79,350 in prize money. Amazingly, there were no repeat champions (or individual) that won more than one doubles event. 
 

In Season 18 the LIGBT ran 8 house shot singles tournaments which attracted 1,445 entries and paid out $83,065. Once again there were no repeat champions. Joe Ceruzzi had the high house shot average with 234 (24 games). Exactly 50 bowlers averaged 200 or better this season. Joe Scianna competed in 20 house shot events (including doubles) and was the top earner with $5,095. Forty-seven different bowlers earned $1,000 or more. Darcy Monroe cashed in the most house shot events with 8. Max Thomas and Rich Hengel were second and third with 6 cashes.
