ROCCO WINS HIS FIRST TITLE

IN HISTORIC FASHION!

 

Congratulations to Rocco Furano III for winning your first LIGBT title on Sunday at AMF Wantagh. Rocco shot the highest handicap score in LIGBT shootout history to win the $800 top prize. Rocco bowled an incredible 333 (279 scratch) to defeat Todd David by 92 pins---another LIGBT record! While Todd earned $500 for 2^nd, finishing in 3^rd was John Livingston with a 204 worth $300. Rounding out the top 4 in the handicap shootout was Gregory Welch with a 183 worth $250.

 

There was also a scratch shootout which was one by Robert Perry shooting an almost perfect 298 to grab the $350 top prize. Finishing in 2nd, and earning $200, was John Livingstone with a 258. The 3^rd place finisher was Donna Ryan with a 224 earning $200. 

 

The AMF Wantagh senior event attracted 63 entries and generated a $4,405 prize fund paid out to 21 cashers (1 in 3.) Scores to advance were; 931 in the higher average handicap division, 939 in the lower average handicap division, 884 in the older senior scratch division (60+), and 896 in the younger senior scratch division (50-59.)

 

Congratulations to all of the cashers and thanks to everyone that participated on Sunday at AMF Wantagh. The LIGBT returns on Sunday, January 18^th for a 2-squad sport shot tournament at AMF Garden City. Have a great week and wishing you a Happy and Healthy New Year!
