WINS 1^st LIGBT TITLE!
 

Congratulations to Gordan Gay for winning the $1,000 top prize at LIGBT's Sport Shot Series #11at AMF E. Meadow. Gordon defeated 19-year-old lefty Gavin Cremers 260-256 in a pressure-filled final shootout. While Gavin earned $600 for 2^nd place, finishing third, with a 230, was Juan Torres earning $400. Rounding out the top 5 was 4^th place finisher Monica McMillan with a 216 taking home $350 and 5^th place finisher Josh Agliam with a 197 earning $300.

 

Scoring on the "Sunset Strip" pattern was challenging as it took just 635 & 637 to cash. High series of the day was shot by Gavin Cremers with a 740 in the noon squad. The wildcard winner was Josh Agliam with a 1,330 6-game block. One woman, Beverly Parker and one Super Senior, Johnny Calhoun were added to the finals to meet the special guarantees.

 

Sport Shot #11 was a big success as 132 entries packed the center generating a $6,525 prize fund shared by 34 bowlers. The side action added another $4,450, bringing the day's total payout to $10,975. The LIGBT welcomed 6 new members at AMF E. Meadow.

 

Congratulations to all of the cashers and thanks to everyone that participated in Sport Shot #11. The LIGBT returns on Sunday, August 16^th for a special Sport Shot Series Bonus tournament featuring top prizes of $1,500 & $800. Over $2,000 will be added to the prize fund at AMF Wantagh.
