MANIRAM BASDEO WINS $1,500 AT HOUSE SHOT SPECTACULAR
Congratulations to Maniram Basdeo for winning your 8th LIGBT title on Sunday at Strike 10 Deer Park. Maniram took home the $1,500 top prize by defeating 16-year old student “Mith” Loutan 259-248 in the final shootout. Mith earned a $900 scholarship for his 2nd place finish. Finishing in 3rd and 4th, earning a total of $1,100, was Nick Eckert with a 235. Nick earned 2 spots in the final shootout by advancing from the 49 & under handicap and scratch divisions. Finishing in 5th place was Donna Ryan with a 200 worth $400. The final spot in the shootout was Julio Arnold who shot a 166 and earned $300.
The House Shot Spectacular was a great event attracting a field of 152 entries and paying out an $8,530 prize fund to 39 bowlers. Cashing scores on the house shot were reasonable; 692-706 in the 49 & under handicap division, 676-692 in the senior handicap division, and 687-699 in the scratch division. Wildcard winners were Eddie Eng (1,337), Mith Loutan (1,343), and Dominick Steed (1,382.) Andrew Mienkiewicz shot the only 300 game of the tournament.
Congratulations to all of the cashers and thanks to everyone that bowled on Sunday. Mike D’Ambrosio of Coach’s Corner Pro Shop raffled off 2 balls and the winners were Donna Ryan and Dexter Wharton. A special thanks to Lou Seda, proprietor of Strike 10 Deer Park, and Mike D’Ambrosio for sponsoring the tournament. LIGBT’s next event is a sport shot tournament at AMF Garden City on Sunday, February 23rd (noon & 2pm.) The lane pattern next Sunday is “Alcatraz”.
Have a great week and we look forward to seeing you soon at an LIGBT tournament.
